We had a great response to our May Flavor of the Month – Strawberries! Thank you all for your recipe submissions. It was tough narrowing down the three recipes that we were most interested in making. Rest assured, we’ll be trying the entire list before strawberry season comes to a close!

So refreshing; we loved the addition of strawberries to this classic summer cocktail. Even without the rum (there were two pregnant recipe testers after all) this was the perfect afternoon drink to sip on the back deck.
So simple and delicious, we loved this cake both for an afternoon snack and for breakfast with coffee! This should be a spring picnic staple; so easy to transport and hold on a napkin while socializing with friends.

Oh my goodness. While at first glance it seems that this cake would be complicated, it really is not. With a base similar in consistency to pound cake, a middle layer of crunchy, lemon-scented meringue, and an outer layer of sour whipped cream, this cake has it all. We’re smitten. This one takes a bit more care to transport and will melt in high heat, so save it for your summer dinner parties at home. But please, make it as soon as you have a good excuse. Or even just because.
